Who?

"Eons ago, terrifying creatures roamed the land. Existing long before Cookies ran, there was a gargantuan Red Dragon with flames burning hotter than brimstone and scales shining brighter than rubies. Within the crater of a volcano, the dragon would wake with a thunderous roar that shook the heavens. Soaring through the skies, this legendary behemoth terrorized the world with cataclysmic firestorms.
Cookies of the past told tales of this tremendous creature meddling with mortal affairs, making nefarious deals, and burning entire kingdoms down to the ground. As time passed, the long-held seat of dominion for dragons, the Dragon's Valley, fell into chaos and collapsed. Dragonkind dispersed and the Red Dragon's powers began to wane.
After biding time behind a veil of smoke and lava, a smaller and crispier form emerged: Pitaya Dragon Cookie.
Will the world witness the dreaded firestorms of legend once more?"
— Pitaya Dragon Cookie's Ovenbreak and Kingdom Bios

Pitaya Dragon Cookie is a Legendary-Ranked playable Cookie from Cookie Run: Ovenbreak. They also appear in Cookie Run: Kingdom as a Dragon-ranked (what) playable character. They are one of five Dragon Cookies in the series, and they are the first of them to be released, making their intial appearance in September 26th, 2019.

Appearance

Pitaya's design is entirely based around the Pitaya/Pitahaya fruit, coloiqually known as Dragon Fruit, which is evident based on looking at them. Their hair is white with specks of black seeds, meant to resemble the flesh of a pitaya. Though the flesh of a pitaya is smooth, their hair is wavy and spiky. Spiky is also a fitting word to describe their design—in terms of shape language, their design uses a lot of triangles. Triangles are often used in character designs to instill a sense of danger or intimidation, which is very intentional. The only exception to this is their tail, in which the tip of it is chopped off.

Personality

There are many words that can describe how they act. For one, they have a superiority complex and believe they are inherently superior to the Cookies due to being a dragon. They are also rather boastful about their strength. Speaking of strength, one of their biggest defining traits is their love of combat. It is a huge motivator for a good majority of their actions.

They also have a short fuse and are anger prone. It doesn't take much for them to either lash out or threaten a fight. Yet with all the negative traits I am describing (despite loving them dearly), they have a bit of a soft side. On numerous occasions in both games, they are shown to care a lot about their friends and (rarely) some members of their family.
